I went to the Carlsbad, CA in the beginning of April to visit the Fujikura factory. I went to Fujikura to go through their fitting process to find shafts to optimize my performance. The whole process was very good and informative. Thank you Pat McCoy for taking so much time with me and for helping me out.
When you go to the Fujikura Factory they measure all the lofts and lies of your clubs – they measure every club spec you can imagine and log it all in a computer and then burn it on a disk for you to take when you leave. All in all, it was the most comprehensive fitting process that I had been through.
When I was done with the fitting, I wanted to check out something around Carlsbad. A friend of mine, Rosalina, had told me about the Flower Fields. I am so glad I went. The flower fields are only open from March to May – basically when the flowers are in bloom. Wow, it was quite a site seeing so many flowers. I can honestly say it was one of those moments when you feel so special to be alive and to see such a site. I went to the top of the field and looked across the flowers out to the Pacific Ocean. It was superb.
If you are ever in Carlsbad when the flowers are in bloom, I recommend taking a couple of hours to stop and smell the flowers. It is well worth it. I know it energized me!
